GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KREX) – At this week’s Energy Summit hosted by the Grand Chamber of Commerce, expert speakers were given the opportunity to share information on topics such as the future of solar energy with local residents.
The Energy Summit examines the use of geothermal energy
One of the speakers, Matt Fowler of the Atlasta Solar Center, had the opportunity to share his thoughts on the solar panel industry and its future on the Western Slope. Introducing Grand Valley locals, Fowler noted that solar panels continue to have a negative stigma around them in terms of price.
But in the end, Fowler says, customers are saving money, and prices have dropped significantly over the past decade. KREX will continue to monitor the future of solar energy on the western slope.
