MOORESVILLE – A nationally known solar energy company abruptly closed its doors last week. Hundreds of customers now have questions about what to do with faulty and underperforming solar panels.
Many customers have told WBTV that their solar panels are not producing the energy or savings initially promised. More than 80 complaints have been filed with the NC Attorney General’s Office against the company, formerly known as Power Home Solar.
However, customers must still make monthly payments on the loans used to purchase the systems. In some cases, the loans are over $60,000.
