I cannot argue that we need to find alternative means of energy production to curb the consumption of fossil fuels.
However, the village of Kunduz Dam and its surroundings should not be the site of solar farms. Fertile lands in this part of the state should be protected and used for agricultural purposes.
It would be more appropriate to concentrate this energy source on farmland, rooftops, infertile and rocky soils, and sandy soils where the soil requires irrigation to grow crops. We see something truly terrible happening in the richest and most beautiful lands of our countryside. A number of local farmers are ignoring the negative impact of seemingly attractive leases being pushed by energy companies.
For some, it’s not too late to reconsider the extent to which this can affect property values, food production and the unsightly appearance of your neighbors.
